Why Kipepeo Matters
Addiction continues to impact individuals, families, and communities throughout the Kilimanjaro Region, yet access to faith-based residential recovery programs has been extremely limited. As the first Christian recovery center in the Kilimanjaro Region, Kipepeo Rehabilitation Center exists to bring hope, healing, and lasting transformation through Christ.
The name “Kipepeo” means butterfly in Swahili. Just as a butterfly emerges from the cocoon completely transformed, our prayer is that each man who comes through the program will experience true transformation through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through discipleship, community, and practical support, men are given the opportunity to leave behind the bondage of addiction and step into a new life marked by freedom, purpose, and hope.

A Place Preprared for New Life
Kipepeo Ministries has been entrusted with a two- acre property in the Kilimanjaro Region that will become a Christ Centered residential rehabilitation center for men seeking freedom from addiction. An existing home on the land is being prepared to provide a safe and structured environment where lives can be restored through faith, community, and practical support.
As we continue developing this center, one of our most urgent needs is the construction of a clean water well. This well will sustain the daily life of the rehabilitation program while also serving as a lasting blessing to the surrounding community by providing reliable access to safe water.
Through partnership and generosity, this property will become a place where healing begins, dignity restored, and transformation reaches beyond individuals to families and the wider region.
About Our Program
Kipepeo Rehabilitation Center was established to bring hope and healing to men struggling with addiction across the Kilimanjaro Region. In response to the growing need for faith- based recovery, we are preparing to open the first Christ-centered residential rehabilitation center in this region. Our mission is to see lives restored through spiritual renewal, practical support, and compassionate community.
Our program will address the whole person—spirit, soul, and body—helping men break the cycle of addiction and build a strong foundation for a new future.
Through discipleship, recovery support, life-skills training, and mentorship, residents are equipped to rediscover purpose, rebuild relationships, and pursue lasting freedom from addiction
